We are keeping this one till we buy for sure.
Nikki nice to have you on the blog, Im actually finding I find it less and less rough, maybe Im just adjusting but not only am I happy but I feel like my life is normal.
Rosas- every time I sit on my back patio I think of the pictures you put up of how you fixed yours up. Oh yes it will come eventually.
Leslie- Im glad you consider me as dear to you as you are to me. I just moved to a casita with two of the windows screened. It is bliss. I hope to screen the other two soon.

You are so right about the internet "friends." I always feel a little more normal after reading some of my favorite blogs. I look forward to yours partly because even when things are not great you have such a great attitude. It reminds me that so many times it is all really just a matter of positive attitude and how we choose to look at things.Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11215553041003543433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6553388201961125907.post-90171700790095998362010-06-04T17:08:57.508-07:002010-06-04T17:08:57.508-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Covnitkepr1https://www.blogger.com/profile/14155059748601952927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6553388201961125907.post-1133330961491108862010-06-02T22:12:50.266-07:002010-06-02T22:12:50.266-07:00So lovely to read your about your happiness ...So lovely to read your about your happiness ...Frankly Rondahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03214064414695951062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6553388201961125907.post-43223884531955030262010-06-01T07:35:31.086-07:002010-06-01T07:35:31.086-07:00Even though it's the 21st century, you are sti...Even though it's the 21st century, you are still one of the few expats who can proudly say you moved to a small Mexican town and thrived!! My first house in Mexico was pretty bad- poorly taken care of and a land lord that could not care less.

But then we moved into this place and it is so much better- yes there are still problems but after a year and ahalf in this house- each new month we have done something cool. We jsut built up our fence!!!

I am glad for your random post.Rosas Clan in Tulumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10264493777912893859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6553388201961125907.post-41525964602120984292010-05-31T11:01:41.207-07:002010-05-31T11:01:41.207-07:00Hi Amanda,

From what I can tell from your writing I think we are pretty close together in pregnancy!! I am very glad that you are getting used to living here and even enjoying it, it is rough but like you said it is also very possible to be happy here.Nikkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07687525856147233672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6553388201961125907.post-25496659846923566642010-05-31T10:26:30.675-07:002010-05-31T10:26:30.675-07:00I've made some great friends all over the worl...I've made some great friends all over the world through blogging. Living in Mexico, I'm used to online relationships, and some of my good friends are people I've never met in person.

They could never replace my Cancun friends, however, who have helped me through many difficulties even though we don't always understand eachother culturally.

It's nice that you have a great landlord. We found the PERFECT house to rent recently. It was expensive, but worth it. The problem was the landlady isn't willing to fix the stuff that needs fixing, and I don't have money to pay rent PLUS buy new ceiling fans, light fixtures, gate, etc. It's been for rent since January. You'd think the lady would take the hint and fix it up already.

Lucky you :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6553388201961125907.post-41784411877169791222010-05-31T08:17:59.074-07:002010-05-31T08:17:59.074-07:00Amanda, you are one of those people that I wish I ...Amanda, you are one of those people that I wish I lived closer to! There's a Soriana near us that could desperately use Isaac ;-).

In all seriousness, it makes me so happy that you have found contentment in Mexico. I'm sure like me, you never expected your life to end up like this, but what a blessing it has turned out to be, right? Living here has really forced me to struggle & develop spiritually, something I never expected to happen...as I really thought I had a lot of things figured out. There is something that stirs in me here, I can't explain what it is but I know it's something good, I know I am supposed to be here. :-)One Small Vozhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04966486789164013039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6553388201961125907.post-15512504767746277332010-05-31T07:50:56.026-07:002010-05-31T07:50:56.026-07:00I will say it again, i am really happy for you Ama...I will say it again, i am really happy for you Amanda. His cousin like buys and sells them or something. Maybe he can get you a good price. It seems like down there, who you know makes a big differance in gettign a good deal.Rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06610339513322780166noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6553388201961125907.post-88360230570426310642010-05-31T07:30:56.706-07:002010-05-31T07:30:56.706-07:00wow, I am so happy you are doing good!
