need suggestions

Ok so Iv been sending some new people to my blog and am finding that its kind of hard to navigate if your new. Most people just write me to ask if I have a post on such and such and I look for it and send a link. But I think what I need to do is redo my labels or something. Anyone got any good ideas. Seriously opening up to suggestions here so if there is something on my page that you have thought to be confusing or something now is the time to say so.

  1. I like that you have the tags/labels on your sidebar, that way it's easier to find. You could add a list of your favorite posts that you've written. And another list that might include helpful information for people moving or thinking about moving to Mexico. If you need any help, just let me know! :)

  2. I LOVE your blog and it's so much fun reading your posts. When I see that you've written a new one, I'm like "YAY!!! Amanda has a new post!" At first it was kinda confusing trying to navigate through your blog but I think that's just 'cause I wasn't familiar with the tag/label thing. I am used to a chronological format instead. So I don't really have any suggestions but just thought I'd let you know I really appreciate your blog. Dios te bendiga mucho hermana!

  3. I think your blog is pretty simple to navigate really. I think sometimes it is just easier and quicker for people to ask the poster where something specific is than look. That is probably going to eb the case no matter how you lay it out. I do like Leslie's suggestion about adding your favorite post's link though.

  4. I'd say your labels are very thorough and detailed, and it's pretty easy to find stuff, but for anyone unfamiliar with blogging in general, blogs are sometimes hard to navigate. I don't know if there's really any way to make that easier. Just keep doing what you're doing!

  5. Here is another idea, maybe have some links to posts that are like staples...or make a FAQ page. Things people right off the bat want to know....why are you here? WHat did your husband do? How did you choose the area you live in? Public insurance or private? Things like that...

  6. Rebecca has a good suggestion. Blogger now has "Pages" that you can put either across the top under the header or in your sidebar. It creates independent pages that you can fill with information but they don't allow commenting. I've recently set up a bunch on our blog to field a lot of the common questions we get.
